Photography for me is a source of escapism from the humdrum routines of everyday life. I started by wandering through the streets of Aldgate and the East End of London with a camera during my lunch hour, looking for pictures instead of munching sandwiches at my office desk or having a pint in the pub.
Tony Ray-Jones, Robert Frank, Lee Friedlander, Manuel Alvarez Bravo and Brassai were all early key influences.
Then, as now, I try to look for the unusual, the question marks, to form images of day-to-day life.
Please do check out the blog for new images and use the rss feed to keep up to date with changes in the galleries.
Happy viewing,
Robert
